Nawada is one of the Lok Sabha constituencies in Bihar. The state has 40 parliamentary seats. The Nawada seat comprises 6 Assembly segments including Barbigha, Rajauli(sc), Hisua, Nawada, Gobindpur, Warsaliganj. The constituency is a GENERAL seat. The LJP, the RJD are the main parties in the constituency. In the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections, Chandan Singh from LJP won the seat with a margin of 148,072 votes. Chandan Singh was polled 495,684 votes with a vote share of 52.00 % and defeated Vibha Devi from RJD who got 347,612 votes (36.80 %). In the 2014 Lok Sabha Elections, Giriraj Singh from BJP won the seat and was polled 390,248 votes with a vote share of 44.12%. RJD candidate Raj Ballabh Prasad got 250,091 votes (28.28 %) and was the runner-up.Giriraj Singh defeated Raj Ballabh Prasad by a margin of 140,157 votes.
