In the 2014 Lok Sabha Elections, Bhola Singh from BJP won the seat and was polled 604,449 votes with a vote share of 59.83%. BSP candidate Pradeep Kumar Jatav got 182,476 votes (18.06 %) and was the runner-up.Bhola Singh defeated Pradeep Kumar Jatav by a margin of 421,973 votes.
