Firozpur is one of the Lok Sabha constituencies in Punjab. The state has 13 parliamentary seats. The Firozpur seat comprises 9 Assembly segments including Firozpurcity, Firozpurrural, Guruharsahai, Jalalabad, Fazilka, Abohar, Balluana, Malout, Muktsar. The constituency is a GENERAL seat. The SAD, the INC are the main parties in the constituency. In the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections, Sukhbir Singh Badal from SAD won the seat with a margin of 198,850 votes. Sukhbir Singh Badal was polled 633,427 votes with a vote share of 54.00 % and defeated Sher Singh Ghubaya from INC who got 434,577 votes (37.05 %). In the 2014 Lok Sabha Elections, Sher Singh Ghubaya from SAD won the seat and was polled 487,932 votes with a vote share of 44.13%. INC candidate Sunil Jakhar got 456,512 votes (41.29 %) and was the runner-up.Sher Singh Ghubaya defeated Sunil Jakhar by a margin of 31,420 votes.
