The Khargone seat comprises 8 Assembly segments including Maheshwar, Kasrawad, Khargone, Bhagwanpura, Sendhwa(s.t.), Rajpur(s.t.), Pansemal(s.t.), Barwani(s.t.). The constituency is a ST seat. The BJP, the INC are the main parties in the constituency. In the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections, Gajendra Umrao Singh Patel from BJP won the seat with a margin of 202,510 votes. Gajendra Umrao Singh Patel was polled 773,550 votes with a vote share of 54.00 % and defeated Dr. Govind Subhan Mujalda from INC who got 571,040 votes (39.99 %). In the 2014 Lok Sabha Elections, Subhash Patel from BJP won the seat and was polled 649,354 votes with a vote share of 56.33%. INC Lok Sabha Elections 2024 Results -INC candidate Ramesh Patel got 391,475 votes (33.96 %) and was the runner-up.Subhash Patel defeated Ramesh Patel by a margin of 257,879 votes.
