Ghosi is one of the Lok Sabha constituencies in Uttar Pradesh. The state has 80 parliamentary seats. The Ghosi seat comprises 5 Assembly segments including Madhuban, Ghosi, Muhammadabad-gohna(sc), Mau, Rasara. The constituency is a GENERAL seat. The BSP, the BJP are the main parties in the constituency. In the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections, Atul Kumar Singh from BSP won the seat with a margin of 122,568 votes. Atul Kumar Singh was polled 14,644 votes with a vote share of 50.00 % and defeated Harinarayan from BJP who got 451,261 votes (39.53 %). In the 2014 Lok Sabha Elections, Harinarayan Rajbhar from BJP won the seat and was polled 379,797 votes with a vote share of 36.52%. BSP candidate Dara Singh Chauhan got 233,782 votes (22.48 %) and was the runner-up.Harinarayan Rajbhar defeated Dara Singh Chauhan by a margin of 146,015 votes.
Lok Sabha Elections 2024: The voting to elect representatives for the 18th Lok Sabha concluded on Saturday. Exit polls broadcast on Saturday predicted a massive win for the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA).
Lok Sabha Elections 2024: In 2019, the state ruling Congress had won 8 seats- Amritsar, Faridkot, Anandpur Sahib, Jalandhar, Khadoor Sahib, Ludhiana, Fatehgarh Sahib and Patiala seats- while the Akali Dal won Bathinda and Ferozepur, and the BJP secured victory from Gurdaspur and Hoshiarpur seats.
Mamata Banerjee asserted that the regional parties including Samajwadi Party, RJD and DMK will perform well in the Lok Sabha elections. She also said that Muslims will not vote for BJP as they did polarisation and that CPI (M) and Congress helped the saffron party.
The polling in Diamond Harbour Lok Sabha constituency took place in the last phase on June 1 (Saturday). Along with it 8 other Lok Sabha seats also went to polls in final phase. The results of Lok Sabha elections will be declared on June 4.
