The BJP, the INC are the main parties in the constituency. In the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections, Bhamre Subhash Ramrao from BJP won the seat with a margin of 229,243 votes. Bhamre Subhash Ramrao was polled 613,533 votes with a vote share of 56.00 % and defeated Kunalbaba Rohidas Patil from INC who got 384,290 votes (35.30 %). In the 2014 Lok Sabha Elections, Dr. Bhamre Subhash Ramrao from BJP won the seat and was polled 529,450 votes with a vote share of 53.85%. INC candidate Amrishbhai Rasiklal Patel got 398,727 votes (40.56 %) and was the runner-up.Dr. Bhamre Subhash Ramrao defeated Amrishbhai Rasiklal Patel by a margin of 130,723 votes.
