According to local belief, Kesarinandan was born on the Gandhamadhan mountain. At a place called Shuchindram, 4 kms east of Kanyakumari, about 13-14 cubits high Kanak geoghatkar-throne-seen idol of Mahavir Hanuman is established, which is unique in India.
