The National Capital Region experienced cooler temperatures on April 14 following weekend rains, providing relief from the heat.
April, May, and June mark the peak of summer in the region, with temperatures expected to continue rising. Srivastava warned that next week could see temperatures reaching 40 degrees Celsius, further intensifying the heatwave.

Delhi weather update: The national capital on Friday recorded a minimum temperature at 12.3 degrees Celsius, four notces above the seasonal average, the India Meteorological Department said.
According to the Meteorological Department, western disturbances are likely to be active in the region in one or two days which may cause a rise in the minimum temperature.

Delhi weather: Delhi Airport has also reported delays in flight operations affecting around 120 flights, both (domestic and international) arrivals and departures, due to dense fog.
Delhi faces its coldest spell of the winter with a minimum temperature of 3.5 degrees Celsius, marking the season's lowest. The Central Pollution Control Board records a 'severe' Air Quality Index (AQI) at 447, accompanied by dense fog, the longest this season.
