Plea filed in SC against medical entrance exam verdict

The government's move to seek a review of the Supreme Court order scrapping the common entrance test for undergraduate medical programmes has evoked protests from some quarters while the students harbour mixed feelings about the development. Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa has written to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, saying the idea of a review petition should be dropped.
