Win for all 'Nirbhayas' in India: Swati Maliwal on death warrants to convicts

 In 2012 Delhi gangrape case, a Delhi court has issued death warrants against all four convicts and the execution in the case to be held on January 22, 2020 at 07:00 am. While speaking to ANI, the Chief of Delhi Commission for Women, Swati Maliwal, said, "I welcome this decision. I think it is a win for all the 'Nirbhayas' living in this country. I salute Nirbhaya's parents who fought for seven long years. Why has it taken 7 years to punish these people? Why can't this time period be reduced?
