According to the police officials, the incident took place in Musakhedi area on Saturday night when the accused, resident of Shanti Nagar, was going home after closing his shop.
According to the victim's mother, the incident took place on December 13 and she filed a case on the same day but no accused was arrested yet.
The family of the deceased woman alleged that she had gone to Nand Nagri area to collect rent from her tenant and did not return after that. They filed a missing report in the police station, and later found her body in the bed box of their residence.

The man and the woman knew each other before the latter's marriage, according to the police. When he met her in Delhi, he lost temper and stabbed her brutally, thus inflicting serious injuries to the woman.

The accused and the victim had met online on dating app Tinder in 2018. The woman allegedly called the man at her rented accomodation and held him hostage before stabbing him.
The accused has been identified as 20-year-old Lareb Hashmi, a first-year B.Tech student at United Engineering College.
A case has been registered against the accused under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
Within a few hours, the police caught the minor accused from the same area. During interrogation he confessed that he had committed the crime under the influence of alcohol and after committing the murder, he looted Rs 350 from the pocket of the deceased and fled.
Two people sustained serious injuries in the incident after which they were rushed to AIIMS Delhi. The police arrested the accused who had personal enmity with one of the injured persons.
