Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar, who will be seen doing a lot of stunt in his upcoming film "Brothers", says he likes his action star persona.

The 47-year-old actor belives the film is the best when it comes to showing stunts in Hindi cinema. "The film has loads of martial arts. It has got the best action. I am a stuntman first, then an actor. The drama and emotion in the film are its USP. I am quite excited about the film. It took 52 days to shoot the climax of the film," Akshay told reporters here.

"Brothers", the remake of Hollywood film "Warrior", is directed by Karan Malhotra. It also stars Sidharth Malhotra, Jacqueline Fernandez, Jackie Shroff, Shefali Shah in pivotal roles.

Akshay said he and Sidharth did a rigorous martial art training for five months to portray the characters of fighters. "We have worked hard for this film. We practised martial arts for five months before shooting the film. Sidharth didn't even sign any film during this period but I had to shuffle between two films at that time. Martial arts need a lot of rehearsal," he said.

The "Baby" star said they tried to make the action at par with Hollywood standards. "We are competing with Hollywood. People don't understand that our Hindi cinema is small budget than them," said the actor, who shared screen space with Sylvester Stallone in "Kambakht Ishq".

Asked whether he will extend his support to launch new talents in the industry, Akshay said, "I have mostly worked with new directors, actors and actresses. I have always been supportive of them. In my career, I have worked with 16 new directors. I completely understand their feeling because I myself was a newcomer once upon a time. I am always there for people who need me."
