Been together for more than a decade, Abhi and Aish are hands down one of the most loved couples in the industry. During an interview, Aishwarya Rai revealed how husband Abhishek Bachchan proposed to her on the sets of Jodha Akbar. While the couple fell in love on the sets of Mani Ratnam’s Guru, the proposal happened on the Jodha Akbar’s set.
In a recent interview to Filmfare, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was asked if she remembers how Abhishek Bachchan proposed her. To his, she said, “Of course, I remember. During the shoot of Jodha Akbar's song 'Khwaja Mere Khwaja', sitting as a bride, and I am like, omg this is surreal, all happening on-screen, off-screen, this is bizarre and Ashutosh is like you are engaged and I am like what.”
It was in New York when Abhishek Bachchan went down on his knees to ask Aishwarya Rai for marriage. She said yes and the rest is history. They tied the knot in 2007 in Mumbai. They have a daughter named Aaradhya who is the apple of Aishwarya’s eyes. The actress has also made her Instagram debut lately and fans are thankful for that. She’s regularly posting pictures of her happy family on the photo-sharing website.
On the work front, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was last seen in Fanney Khan in which she played the role of a superstar. Her next project is Gulab Jamun in which she will share screen space with husband Abhishek Bachchan. They were last seen together in Mani Ratnam’s Raavan.
