Manvendra Singh is the Congress leader and a former member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He is the son of former BJP leader Jaswant Singh. Manvendra contested the Lok Sabha Election for the first time in 1999 from Barmer but lost to Congress leader Sonaram Choudhary. In 2004, Manvendra Singh defeated Sonaram Choudhary by 2,71,888 votes. However, he couldn't retain his seat and lost to Congress candidate Harish Choudhary by 1,19,106 votes in 2009. In 2013, Manvendra won the Sheo Assembly constituency by 31,425 votes. In 2018, Singh joined the Congress party and contested against Vasundhara Raje Scindia from Jhalrapatan but lost. In the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, Manvendra Singh was again defeated by BJP's Kailash Choudhary with a huge margin of 3,23,808 votes. Singh is contesting from Siwana against BJP's Hameersingh Bhayal in the upcoming Rajasthan Assembly Election 2023.
