Seven people have been booked for killing a man in a village in Uttar Pradesh. The police have arrested the woman's brother. Meanwhile, the rest are still at large. The police said that a search operation is underway.
The father had allegedly stabbed his son to death causing multiple injuries to his face, on the eve of his wedding in Delhi. The accused was arrested after which he said that he has "no regrets".
The police said that the minor was playing with other children outside her residence when she went missing under the suspicious circumstances at around 8 pm. She was found naked in the forest area the next morning.
A senior police official said that the arrested duo are linked to as many as 25 cases. The matter is being investigated by the police to gather further information.
West Midlands Police issued a statement, saying the girl had been found with injuries at an address in Rowley Regis on Monday and pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the accused mother has been taken into custody.
The victim told police that he was attacked in his sleep by his wife with a kitchen knife. He also filed a complaint leading to the registration of an FIR under Section 307 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), which deals with attempt to murder.
In her complaint, the victim also claimed that the tarot card reader also clicked private photos and videos of her to threaten her. The accused confessed his crime and disclosed that he exploited the victim multiple times.
The victim who was critically injured was rushed to a nearby private hospital where he underwent treatment, the official said.
The accused were booked under Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections 306 (abetment to suicide), 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace) and 506 (criminal intimidation) and 34 (common intention), the police official said.
The police also rescued three women, in the age group of 34 to 38, who worked at the spa. A case was also registered against the spa owner under relevant provisions of the Indian Penal Code and the Immoral Traffic Prevention Act.
The survivor has been admitted to a hospital, the official added. Deputy Inspector General, Santhal Pargana, Sanjeev Kumar said the SP is probing the incident.
The matter came to light on February 29 when the survivor's daughter complained. Senior officers of the Belagavi district administration have camped in the village to probe it further.
Subhan Ali, the accused hailing from Uttarakhand, created a fake account impersonating a girl and befriended the girl on social media. He trapped her into sharing her private pictures and videos with him during a 'truth or dare' game.
DCP South Zone, Kanpur Ravindra Kumar said the police have taken the accused into custody and started interrogating them. The police will take strict action as per law in the case, he added.

According to Additional SP (city) Abhimanyu Manglik, the accused was angry over his wife's relationship with his brother. She was living with her parents after a dispute with her husband relationship.
Crime news: The main accused was released on bail recently after which he shot at the rape survivor while she was returning home with her brother on a two-wheeler. The incident took place in the Kotputli-Behror district of Rajasthan.
Various charges, including rape and abduction under the Indian Penal Code, provisions under the POCSO Act and the IT Act have been registered against them.
