The government of Haryana imposed a ban on internet services in three regions of Ambala district. Meanwhile, the farmers continued to protest at the Haryana-Delhi borders.

Manipur internet ban: Mobile internet services were first banned in Manipur around eight month ago after ethnic violence broke out between non-tribal Meitei and tribal Kuki-Zo communities on May 3 last year. Since then, the ban has been extended after every five days.
The authorities suspended the internet to avoid the situation from escalating. They said that the anti-social elements were using internet to spread "objectionable content" regarding the incident.
Congress slammed the government alleging the police action a 'political witch-hunt'. The administration took precautionary measures to avoid any untoward incidents.
Just a day earlier, the state government had suspended internet services in the area in view of a call for a 'shobha yatra'.
The order was issued by Justices Ahanthem Bimol Singh & A Guneshwar Sharma while hearing a bunch of Public Interest Litigations seeking restoration of internet services in the state on Friday. It was, however, made known Tuesday, advocates said.
At least 60 people have been killed, 231 injured and around 1,700 houses have been burned down in the violence in Manipur since May 3.
Bhiwani deaths: "Results of DNA test have come and it is confirmed that the charred bones, recovered from a vehicle in Loharu village, were of Nasir and Junaid, who were abducted from here," Gaurav Srivastava, IG Range, Bharatpur told media on Sunday.
The decision was taken after a vehicle was set ablaze by miscreants at Phougakchao Ikhang in Bishnupur district on Saturday evening, the order said. The incident has led to communal tension and hour later, another vehicle was also torched at Torbung-Bangla in the district by masked men.
Union minister and local MP Jitendra Singh appealed to the elders and heads of communities to sit together to sort out the issue and maintain harmony.
The restriction will be imposed in a few blocks under the districts of Malda, Murshidabad, Uttar Dinajpur, Coochbehar, Jalpaiguri, Birbhum and Darjeeling on March 7 to 9, March 11 and 12 and on March 15 and 16.
The Haryana government on Tuesday further extended the suspension of mobile Internet services till 5 pm on February 3 in seven districts of the state amid a protest by farmers against the Centre’s three farm laws.
The tractor parade on January 26 that was to highlight the demands of farmer unions to repeal three new agri laws dissolved into anarchy on the streets of the national capital as thousands of protesters broke through barriers, fought with the police, overturned vehicles and hoisted a religious flag from the ramparts of the iconic Red Fort.
Thousands of protesting farmers had clashed with the police during the tractor rally in Delhi called by farmer unions on January 26 to highlight their demand for the repeal of the Centre's three farm laws.
Earlier on Friday, the Haryana government had ordered the suspension of mobile internet services in 14 more districts of the state till 5 pm of January 30 to prevent any disturbance of peace and public order, in the wake of the farmers' agitation against the three agriculture laws.
