Bollywood’s Queen Kangana Ranaut managed to garner mass popularity with her first film Gangster in which she played the role of an alcoholic, Simran. Not just was she loved but was showered with projects after the film released. While Kangana’s acting was much praised, the actress credits her director Anurag Basu for all her success. He was the one who stood behind her in her struggling days and helped her rise to fame. Now after 8 years, the actor-director duo is all set to reunite for a love story titled Imali.
According to the reports in Mumbai Mirror, after completing Manikarnika, Mental Hai Kya, and an untitled film of Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, Kangana will start shooting for Imali. It is said that in another couple of months i.e. in August, the actress will start preparing for the film. While Kangana is fixed as the female lead in Imali, the search for the male lead is still in process.
Kangana was also asked about the film but she didn’t reveal much. She felt that it was too early to talk about the film, however, she was excited to be back with Anurag Basu as she considers him her Godfather.
Currently, Kangana is in London where she is shooting for her upcoming film Mental Hai Kya alongside National award winner Rajkummar Rao. On the other hand, Kangana has complete Manikarnika shoot and the movie will hit the theatres soon.
