Hichki
Actress Rani Mukerji starrer Hichki is doing good business at the box office. The film has minted over Rs 15 crore in three days. Rani’s powerful performance and positive word-of-mouth are some of the reasons, the movie is faring well at the ticket window. The total collection of Hichki now stands at Rs 15.35 cr. The numbers were shared by trade analyst Taran Adarsh on social media.
Taran took to micro-blogging site Twitter and shared the figures. He tweeted, “Hichki finds appreciation from audience and applause from critics... Goes from strength to strength with each passing day... Will have to stay stronger over weekdays now... Fri 3.30 cr, Sat 5.35 cr, Sun 6.70 cr. Total: ₹ 15.35 cr [961 screens]. India biz.”
The movie is fighting the battle with Ajay Devgn starrer Raid. It is on its second weekend and is still going strong. The total collection of Raid now stands at Rs 79.53 cr.
On a related note, Rani played the role of a teacher suffering from Tourette Syndrome in the film. The movie is directed by Siddharth P Malhotra and produced by Yash Raj Films. In the coming week, Hichki will be fighting the box office battle with Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani starrer Baaghi 2.
