Outgoing Mumbai Police Commissioner Rakesh Maria has expressed unhappiness over government's decision to promote him as the new Director General of Police (Home Guards).
Sources said that he is considering resigning from the post because he is of the view that his shunting is a political move.
The state government yesterday replaced Maria by another equally fine IPS officer, Javed Ahmed. The Mumbai Police Commissioner's post is equivalent to that of Director General.
