Bangladesh opted to bat first after winning the toss. They are missing their regular skipper Shakib Al Hasan today with Najmul Hossain Shanto leading the side. But their openers Litton Das and Tanzid Hasan created a unique World Cup record against India with their half-centuries.

Kumara was fined 25 per cent of his match fee and received 1 demerit point. Das was fined 15 per cent of his match fee and received 1 demerit point.

Bangladesh, who had won the toss and elected to bat, were in a spot of bother when they were reduced to 132 for six wickets.

Soumya Sarkar and Liton Das struck fifties while Mustafizur Rahman and Aminul Islam grabbed three wickets each as Bangladesh beat Zimbabwe by 48 runs.

Liton was involved in a mammoth 292-run partnership with Tamim (129 not out), who also scored his second straight century.

Liton's 126 off 105 balls helped Bangladesh set up a total of 321/6. In response, Zimbabwe folded for 152 in 39.1 overs in Sylhet.

Mehidy Hasan replaced Liton as concussion substitute as Bangladesh were bowled out for just 106 inside three hours. Liton was on 15 when he was hit by a rising Shami delivery.

Mehidy Hasan was the fourth player to come on as a concussion substitute since ICC introduced the rule earlier this year.

Shakib starred in the comeback with 124 not out, his second successive century in the tournament, and Liton Das added 94 not out in his World Cup debut.
