Sonali Bendre sends out Ganesh Chaturthi wishes
Bollywood actress Sonali Bendre who is currently undergoing treatment for high-grade cancer in New York is missing the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations back home in Mumbai. The actress is fighting the life-threatening disease with a positive attitude and a new perspective towards life in a different country but special occasions like Ganesh Chaturthi makes her miss home.
The actress took to her social media to post pictures of her husband Goldie Behl and son Ranveer Behl offering prayers to Lord Ganesha. She tweeted, "#GaneshChaturthi has always been very very close to my heart. Missing the celebrations back home, but still feeling blessed. Have a happy one, filled with blessings, love and joy!"
While Sonali is struggling through the toughest days of her life, her friends Sussanne Khan and Gayatri Joshi stand strong beside her and extend all the support she needs. During her chemotherapy, Sonali Bendre lost her luscious mane to the chemical treatment, as most of the cancer patients do. However, the actress had no qualms flaunting her bald pictures on the social media, which is no less than inspirational for everyone who have lost their hair to an illness.
However. in the latest social media post, Sonali Bendre wrote at lengths about her desire to don a wig and the second thoughts she had in her mind while picking one for herself. No doubt she was holding her head high even when she had put her bald head to display, but she was struck with a little ‘self-doubt’ while trying out wigs.
Sonali Bendre was diagnosed with high-grade cancer in July this year. She announced the news on her official Instagram account. Ever since then, the brave actress has been sharing personal accounts of her daily struggle with cancer.
