You can call it 3 Idiots, or 3 Friends, as you please. Starring Aamir Khan, R. Madhavan and Sharman Joshi was loved by the critics and audiences alike. It is the highest grossing Hindi film till date. Not forgetting Virus (Viru Sahasrabuddhe) and Chatur Ramalingam, of course.
JAANE TU YAA JAANE NA
JAANE TU YAA JAANE NA was a refreshing love story between two best friends played by Genelia D'Souza and Imran Khan.
KUCH KUCH HOTA HAI
Karan Johar made his directorial debut with love triangle Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, which was a huge hit. Shahrukh-Kajol's endearing chemistry and their friendship & comfort level with each other in real life reflected well on screen. The film's dialogue Pyaar Dosti hai became quite a rage at that time.
ROCK ON
This film based on a rock band was about friendship and hit the right note with the audience.
RANG DE BASANTI
This 2006 film starring Aamir Khan gained cult status because of its fresh story. The camaraderie between Aamir Khan, Sharman Joshi, Kunal Kapoor, and Siddharth was excellently portrayed.

YAARANA
This film starring Amitabh Bachchan and Amjad Khan was an excellent story about two friends. The song Tere jaisa yaar kahaan from YARANA is fondly remembered even today.

John-Katrina-Neil played college friends in this film directed by Kabir Khan. It was a fresh terrorism based tale and had some good music as well.
