Shah Rukh Khan has been receiving negative feedback as his recent film Jab Harry Met Sejal failed to impress. The Imtiaz Ali film, which also starred Anushka Sharma neither struck gold at the box-office nor won hearts of the audience. Now, the Raees actor is all set to star in Aanand L Rai’s next untitled venture, where SRK will reportedly be seen as a dwarf. After portraying a disabled character in My Name Is Khan and an extraordinary role in Fan, Shah Rukh will be once again seen performing an unusual dwarf character, which has only added to the curiosity level of audience.
Filmmaker Aanand L Rai is quite confident his upcoming film with SRK will help the actor to regaining his fan base. Speaking to Mid-day, the director said, "With our film, I know I will rectify his relationship with the audience. I can sense what people are seeking. I will be honest to my craft and will work hard for my audience. I won't let the reactions to his last films cloud my head right now. I am here to deliver and I will do a damn good job of it. Right now, we are having fun at work and I won't let anything change that."
The director also praised King Khan and said that the actor is a believer, an eternal optimist. He said, “Shah Rukh Khan can't be blamed for the choices he made because they are straight out of his heart. He isn't a man of mathematics, he doesn't think about numbers. He is a pure soul, who will put his trust again on a great project and win his audience back”.
Meanwhile, a source revealed VFX will play an important role in how SRK will transform into a dwarf for the Aanand L Rai film
“Wherever Shah Rukh Khan will shoot his scenes, there will be holes drilled on the platform into which the actor will get in. It is done to keep his height true to the script’s demand. His look will be a mix of VFX and props. It is used in the West and will now be put to use in this film as well”, the source revealed.
