Box Office Collection Report: Luka Chuppi, Badla hold well despite Kesari opening as biggest film of 2019
Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon’s Luka Chuppi and Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu starrer Badla have been raking in good moolah despite Akshay Kumar’s Kesari dominating the box-office. Kesari, also starring Parineeti Chopra, made a grand opening of Rs 21.50 crore, and now the Anurag Singh's directorial film is all set to cross Rs 80 crore at the box-office.
Coming back to Luka Chuppi, the film has earned Rs 89.38 crore after twenty-three days of its opening. “#LukaChuppi manages to hold pretty well, despite #Kesari, #Badla and #CaptainMarvel dominating the marketplace... Luka Chuppi narrates the story of the live-in relationship in small towns of the country, where the couples are massively frowned upon. Guddu Shukla, played by Kartik Aaryan, is a reporter at a news channel in Mathura and falls in love with Rashmi Tiwari, played by Kriti Sanon.

Badla is an adaptaion of 2016 Spanish release-The Invisible Man. In Badla, Amitabh plays the role of a lawyer, Badal Gupta, and helps Naina (Taapsee), who has been accused of murdering a man she was having an affair with.
