The UP government informed the Supreme Court that it has constituted a new four-member SIT, headed by IGP Kiran S., to investigate the alleged embezzlement of donations at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. The Court directed the inclusion of a forensic auditor as the fifth member of the SIT.
The move comes after the Supreme Court, during the July 13 hearing, directed the Uttar Pradesh government to constitute a fresh SIT under the leadership of a senior IPS officer.
