Mumbai, April 1 : Bollywood star Sonam Kapoor collapsed on her return from Dubai on Thursday due to exhaustion and high fever and was immediately rushed to the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Andheri here.
The star was in Dubai to promote her forthcoming film Thank You. As soon as she landed in Mumbai on Thursday, she collapsed due to fatigue.
According to Sonam's father Anil Kapoor, a hectic work schedule landed a fatigued and sleep-deprived Sonam in hospital.
After shooting round-the-clock for an endorsement, she jetted to Jaipur as brand ambassador for a luxury car. She then shot for the film Mausam, and rushed to Dubai for Thank You promotions. On her return, she developed a high temperature and was taken to the hospital for a check-up.
Sonam will take complete rest and will be discharged from the hospital by Sunday.Sonam's mother Sunita and sister Rhea are by her side.
Sonam has been working at a hectic phase for the last several months. After a schedule of Abbas-Mastan's Players in New Zealand for a month, she returned to finish the dubbing of Thank You. She had been working for almost 16 hours a day to fulfill her work commitments.Last year Sonam was down with typhoid and continued to shoot for her films which had led to a relapse.
