    Cholera outbreak in Odisha’s Rayagada district, 7 dead, many infected

    Seven people have died of cholera and about 100 others have been affected by the water-borne disease in Kashipur block in Odisha's Rayagada district, an official said on Tuesday. This was revealed by Rayagada District Collector Swadha Dev Singh based on a report of the ICMR’s Regional Medical Research Centre (RMRC), Bhubaneswar.

    UP: Child brutally killed after being sodomised

     A seven-year-old child was killed and his face smashed after being allegedly sodomised here, police said on Tuesday. The matter came to the fore on Tuesday when the body of a child was recovered from a secluded place in a village in Hussainganj area, Superintendent of Police (SP) Rajesh Kumar Singh said.

    Bengal logs 2,243 new COVID-19 cases, 6 more deaths

     West Bengal on Tuesday registered six more COVID-19-related deaths, raising the toll to 21,288, a bulletin by the state health department said. At least 2,243 fresh cases were recorded, taking the tally to 20,74,550, it said, adding that the positivity rate stood at 15.37 per cent.

    Delhi: One more held in hand guns’ smuggling case

    A week after a Gurugram-based man and his wife were arrested at IGI Airport here for allegedly trying to smuggle 45 hand guns into the country, police on Monday arrested his absconding brother, officials said.
