In a fresh twist in the Bulandshahr lynching case, the girl, who was said to have eloped with a Muslim boy, has claimed that she was abducted and raped by Yusuf who had kept his identity secret.
She said that they boy had introduced himself as Vijay but later it was revealed that his real name was Yusuf (27).
She said that the boy had first kept her at a hotel in Allahabad and then at his relative's place. He had even threatened to kill her brother if she resisted him.
“He faked his identity as Hindu. He introduced himself as Vijay but later it was revealed that his real name is Yusuf. I want strict punishment be given to him,” she said.
The incident had led to the death of another man after he was beaten by a group of about 10 men for aiding the two.
Meanwhile, a case of abduction and rape has been registered against the boy and he has been arrested.
