Bhumi Pednekar on friendship with Ayushmann Khurrana: He has been special to me since Dum Laga Ke Haisha

Bhumi Pednekar and Ayushmann Khurrana managed to make many fans fall in love with their chemistry in their first film together, Dum Laga Ke Haisha. The two talented actors came together in the 2015 film and hit the right chord with each other instantly. Since then, Ayushmann and Bhumi share a wondeful bond offscreen as well. They even appeared on Bffs with Vogue in the first season. Now, the duo is all set to reappear on the big screen together in the upcoming film Bala.

In an interview with Mid-Day, Bhumi shared her excitement of reuniting with her best friend Ayushmann in Amar Kaushik directorial Bala and said, "Ayushmann and I trust each other as actors. He has been a special person in my life since I debuted opposite him, and since then, luck, thankfully, has been on our side. I'm glad that not only have our films done well, but our on-screen jodi has also been loved by audiences."

Bhumi Pednekar and Ayushmann Khurrana have worked together in films like Dum Laga Ke Haisha (2015) and Shubh Mangal Saavdhan (2017). While Aysuhmann was not a newcomer, Bhumi made her debut with Dum Laga Ke Haisha.

Further talking about Amar Kaushik's upcoming film Bala, the actress said that the film is another attempt at portraying relatable characters. "I am drawn to characters that I can connect to, because they are layered and have a strong sense of being. Bala is a story where you feel like you know these people. That's what makes it such a strong script," she said.
