New Delhi: Gossip mongers have been busy linking her first to Saawariya co-star Ranbir Kapoor and now to debutante director Punit Malhotra but actress Sonam Kapoor has decided not to react to such rumours.

When asked to comment on her alleged romance with I Hate Love Stories director Punit, Sonam said, "I'm never going to speak about my personal life in public, who I am dating or whatever. So I am neither confirming nor denying anything."

Nevertheless, the 25-year-old actress admits that on her first meeting with Punit she found him to be as handsome as a Bollywood actor. "When I met Punit for the first time I was thinking, why is he a director? He is so handsome he should be an actor," said Sonam, who was in the capital to promote IHLS releasing on July 2.

Although she refuses to comment on her personal life, Sonam is just like any other girl who likes being pursued by men. "I am a romantic girl and like being wooed by guys. I believe there is someone out there for everybody. But I do not believe in looking for a Mr Perfect. If somebody is too perfect then there surely is some problem," said Sonam.

The actress is playing a love-struck romantic in IHLS who loves Bollywood romances. Sonam says that every character she has played so far has had something similar to her personality in real life.

"Every role that I played, be it Sakina from Saawariya or Bittu in Delhi 6, has something of me in them. I am romantic and crazy like my character Simran in IHLS and I like to shop and meddle in other people's affairs like Aisha," said Sonam. Aisha is a her next release after IHLS in which Sonam plays the title role opposite actor Abhay Deol.

Sonam also refuted rumours of having a cold war with Deepika Padukone and turning down Rohit Dhawan's Desi Boys because the 'Om Shanti Om' star was cast in it. "Rohit had offered the film to be way before. It is a beautiful script but I couldn't take it up due to date issues. I was busy with Mausam and Thank You.

"Deepika is doing the same role now which was offered to me back then. So how can it be that I didn't take the film because I didn't want to work with her? I don't know Deepika, how can I have a cold war with her?" said Sonam.
