Bollywood actor Deepika Padukone has been introduced as a ‘blind' girl who is born to fly, while Neil Nitin Mukesh has been introduced as ‘wild' who is born to fight. Lafangey Parindey, directed by Pradeep Sarkar and produced by Aditya Chopra, is Yash Raj Films' latest offering to be released on August 20.
The film is set against the backdrop of the gritty streets of Mumbai and is learned to be about bike gangs. Neil and Deepika have done daring stunts in the film which is quite evident with its first look. Spunky stuff! This is the second film this year from Yash Raj films after the success of Badmaash Company.
Neil Nitin Mukesh was unaware that the promotion was kicking off with those ads. When he woke up on Friday morning to loads of encouraging SMSs, he was quite thrilled.
He says he was thrilled to the see the ad. “I just saw it ,” he said.
The actor has changed his look drastically for the film, cutting his hair short and putting on inches of biceps. Since this is his next release after the Katrina Kaif- starrer New York and the dud Jail, he wanted a completely different look.
The film is about the rivalry between bike gangs in Mumbai. So Neil meticulously planned a ragged look that will match his character, which is of an angry young man. The film has some action sequences, for which Neil tried not to take the help of a body double. He was reportedly motivated by the director of the film, Pradeep Sarkar, to make the fight scenes look as real as possible and avoid the regular stuntmen.
Neil's only hit so far has been with Yash Raj Films.
