End of Windows XP support to impact 95% of the world's ATMs

New Delhi: On April 8, Microsoft will cease to offer tech support for Windows XP, the system used by 95 percent of the world's ATMs, according to NCR, the largest ATM supplier in the US.

New Delhi: On April 8, Microsoft will cease to offer tech support for Windows XP, the system used by 95 percent of the world's ATMs, according to NCR, the largest ATM supplier in the US. This will make most of the world's ATMs and a large portion of its computer-based industrial control systems becoming a lot more vulnerable to hackers and viruses.
