Mumbai: A 30-year-old man killed his friend and wanted to confess his crime. Police didn't arrest him despite the fact that he had murdered his friend. Instead,  he was shooed away by the police. He wanted to confess the crime he had committed. The cops sent him off from one police station to another saying he should go to the right police station.

The accused Magdul Sardar Ali (30), first approached the Shivaji Nagar police and told the on-duty officer to arrest him for killing his best friend in Malad (East) and dumping his body in a drain.

Though he wanted to surrender himself he wasn't arrested. The cops sent him to surrender at Dindoshi police station as according to them the spot of crime fell in the latter's jurisdiction.

Even on his way to Dindoshi, he was escorted by no more than two constables. The Dindoshi cops sent him off to Kurar Village police station, where he was taken into custody.

Sardar Ali is a resident of Shivaji Nagar, Govandi where he works as a tailor. He allegedly told the police that he had killed his best friend, Sadik Ali (29), in August.
