The NIA arrested 10 of the detained persons, including one Mufti Suhail who was leading the group, while it is questioning the rest, Inspector General of Police (NIA) Alok Mittal said.
The National Investigation Agency(NIA) on Wednesday said that ISIS-linked terrorists were planning to launch suicide attacks in national capital Delhi and north India.

"Searches have been conducted in Delhi’s Seelampur and UP’s Amroha, Hapur, Meerut and Lucknow. Large quantities of explosive material, weapons and ammunition including a country made rocket launcher have been recovered so far," the NIA IG added.
"Joint forces of military battalions and security elements chased a number of remnants of the terrorists, who were hiding in the uninhabited site west of Tazerbu," it said on Saturday.
"We cannot be complacent about the threat Russia poses or leave it uncontested."
One of the women has reportedly told relatives in Britain that as many as 80 British women and children expect to return imminently, while others will be home by the end of the year.
The parts of India seriously impacted by terrorism in 2017 included Jammu and Kashmir, the northeast Indian states, and parts of central India in which Maoists remain active, the report said.
It is the first extradition of alleged ISIS sympathiser from Afghanistan, the officials said.
