Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu has appealed to the people of Andhra Pradesh to maintain peace and not resort to vandalism in protest against the Congress' decision to initiate the process for creation of Telangana state.
Stating that the Congress' decision to create Telangana state "unilaterally and hastily" without consulting any stakeholders has deeply hurt the sentiments of the people of Andhra and Rayalaseema regions, Chandrababu said people should express their protest in a peaceful manner.
"Please do not cause damage to public and private properties or resort to extreme acts like suicides," he appealed to the people in a statement in Hyderabad on Friday . PTI
