If you’ve changed your house for more than once, you know the feeling of visiting your former abode after a long time. Similar happened to Union Minister Smriti Irani who visited her first house in Gurugram after more than three decades. TV producer Ekta Kapoor has roped in her close friend Smriti Irani as a part of promotions of her upcoming web series Home. In the video shared by the television czarina, the Union Minister can be seen getting emotional as she reaches her former house in Haryana.

The videos show Smriti Irani walking inside the premises only to know that her former nest has been transformed into a shop. The caption read, “It is painful, tough and courageous to see a place you once called ‘Home’, now no longer there. But life is nothing more than a journey of bitter sweet memories!”

In one of the videos, Smriti Irani is also seen relishing the street food from her former locality in Gurugram. She also visited the old ration shop and her favourite chaat shop.

In reply, Smriti Irani retweeted the video on her official Twitter and wrote, “For sure @ektaravikapoor  Rewinding time and walking down memory lane- quite literally. HOME se Mumbai tak samay badla, ghar bhi badle. But relationships and memories have stayed strong.”

Ekta Kapoor and Smriti Irani share a great rapport in real life. For the uninitiated, Irani featured in Balaji’s iconic TV show Kyunkii Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and played the female lead. Ever since then, they stuck together. Both of them share pictures with each other on their social media accounts.

Ekta Kapoor’s family drama Home featuring Supriya Pilgaonkar, Amol Parashar, Parikshit Sahni, Annu Kapoor, Himani Shivpuri and others will stream on ALT Balaji from September 21.
