Laaxmi Bomb: Akshay Kumar, Kiara Advani start shoot for Kanchana 2 Hindi remake sans Amitabh Bachchan (Pics)
After striking Gold with Kesari, Akshay Kumar is all set to wow the audience with the Hindi remake of popular Tamil film Kanchana 2 titled Laaxmi Bomb. The original movie released in 2015 and Raghava Lawrence played the lead role as well as directed the movie. The Hindi remake is also being directed by Raghava Lawrence who recently announced that the shooting for Laaxmi Bomb has commenced by sharing pictures on social media. Besides Akshay Kumar, the film also stars Kiara Advani in a lead role. Furthermore, Amitabh Bachchan is rumoured to be playing a transgender ghsot for the first time in his career.
Raghava Lawrence took to Twitter and shared a couple of photos with lead actor Akshay Kumar as they kick-started shooting for the film titled Laaxmi Bomb. He tweeted, “Hi dear Friends and Fans..! Shooting of Hindi remake Kanchana staring the great @akshaykumar sir has began...need all your blessings #LaaxmiBomb.”
"Hi dear Friends Fans..! shooting with beautiful actress @Advani_Kiara and my producer @RowdyGabbar #KanchanaHindiRemake #laaxmibomb", the director wrote while sharing pictures with Kiara Advani.
Kiara Advani shared another picture of herself and wrote, “First Day of #LAAXMIBOMB @shabskofficial @akshaykumar #raghavalawrence @tusshark89 and the journey has just begun.”
“While Akshay plays the protagonist who gets possessed by the spirit of a transgender, Kiara will portray the superstar's girlfriend in the movie. Although the female lead did not have a significant role in the original version, Kiara will enjoy a substantial part in the adaptation. The script too has been tweaked to suit the sensibilities of the Hindi film audience", a source was quoted as saying to Spotboye.
Directed by Raghava Lawrence, the film will have Akshay Jumar returning to the horror genre years after the release of Bhool Bhulaiyaa.
