A day after Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati said that she is ready for an alliance, on Monday, Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav said that in the coming days a strong alliance will emerge.

“Not only the political parties but all the people in India want to oust Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). In the coming days you will witness a strong alliance," former CM of Uttar Pradesh said.

On Sunday, Mayawati said that to stop the BJP from winning general polls 2019 she is ready to be a part of an alliance. However, she cautioned that the BSP will enter an alliance only if given a respectable share of seats.

Otherwise, the party will go for the polls alone, she said.
