New Delhi: Automaker BMW has announced the facelifted version of its SUV BMW X3. As of now, the SUV is assembled locally at company's Chennai plant in India. The updated version of X3 looks a lot similar to its elder sibling X5 which was just unveiled by the company at the 2014 Auto Expo. On the outside, the changes include a fully chromed kidney grille, the newly added bigger headlamps and optional LED headlights. Both the back and front bumpers now bear a sporty look. Other changes include wing mirror integrated turn indicators, new body colors and alloy wheel designs. \u00a0Inside the cabin, the updated X3 comes with new cupholders, unique upholstery, and off course automatic tailgate opener. It features an all new gloss black center console. \u00a0BMW plans to roll out the vehicle with 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder, oil burner which generates 190bhp of power output and 400 Nm of peak torque performance; owing to its popularity in India. The company currently offers 1-Series, 3-Series, 5-Series, and X1 with the same diesel powertrain and it churns out a decent 184 bhp of power and a top torque of 380 Nm. As of now, the X3 available in India is powered by a four and six cylinder diesel engine.
