Munich: The defense team for Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness won't contest an investigator's conclusion he evaded millions more in taxes than previously admitted.

The 62-year-old was charged with dodging 3.5 million euros ($4.85 million) in taxes, but admitted on Monday to avoiding 15 million euros more.

On Tuesday, an investigator who evaluated new documentation turned over by Hoeness shortly before the trial testified he owed 27.2 million euros in total.

Germans news agency dpa reported that Hoeness' attorney Hanns Feigen told the Munich state court on Wednesday they don't doubt the new amount, but added that "all the figures were there" when his client turned himself in to authorities last year.

Hoeness faces punishment ranging from a fine to 10 years in prison if found guilty.

A verdict is expected on Thursday.
