Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday released a white paper by the party on the Centre’s Covid management and said the intention was not to “point fingers but help India tackle the third wave.”
Rahul Gandhi said that the purpose of white paper is not to point finger at government, but to help the nation to prepare for the third wave of Covid-19. Responding to that, the BJP accused the Congress of politicising India's ongoing battle against the Covid pandemic.
The COVID-19 cases continued to drop in the country. On June 22, 42,640 new cases were reported which is lowest in 91 days. The total cases in the country stands at 2,99,77,861. In last 24 hrs, 1,167 deaths were registered, taking the toll to 3,89,302 and 2,89,26,038 got discharged in the same duration. The active cases has declined in the country to 6,62,521.
