Nitish Kumar, who is seeking fourth consecutive victory, has been sitting at the helm of state's affair since 2005. He has taken oath as the CM five times -- 2000 (8 days), 2005, 2010, 2015, and 2017.
Trends show that the BJP is ahead of Nitish Kumar's Janata Dal (United). As of now, the BJP is leading in 60 seats, while the JD(U) is ahead in 39 seats.
Bharatiya Janata Party leader Nand Kishore Yadav is contesting elections from the Patna Sahib Assembly seat. Trends show that he has an edge from here. A clean BJP face in Bihar, Nand Kishore Yadav is seeking to retain the Patna Sahib seat.
Abdul Bari Siddiqui is the RJD's Muslim face. He is contesting elections from the Keoti assembly seat. Initial trends show that Siddiqui is ahead of BJP rival Murari Mohan Jha.
