HIGHLIGHTS - DD vs CSK, Match 52, IPL 2018

Indian Premier League 2018 between Delhi Daredevils and Chennai Super Kings at the Feroz Shah Kotla, Delhi. Tremendous bowling effort by Delhi Daredevils as they have managed to defend a target which by many was quipped by many as not enough against a strong batting line-up of Chennai Super Kings. Chasing a decent total the opening pair got the away side off to a good start. But once the Powerplay ended, run-scoring got very difficult. Watson departed immediately. Amabti Rayudu looked extremely fluent but he departed immediately after getting to his fifty. Billings and Raina fell in quick succession which saw MS Dhoni needing a lot to do. He too could not come to the fore and the visitors fell short by quite a few runs.

The Delhi bowling finally came to the fore here tonigh. Everybody except for Avesh Khan, who took a pounding has exceptional figures to their name. Trent Boult and Amit Mishra were the highlight as the two finished with combined figures of, 8-0-40-4. The pacers used their variation to great effect. Brief Preview: A formidable Chennai Super Kings will be aiming to tie up loose ends ahead of the playoffs when they take on a listless Delhi Daredevils in a rare dead rubber of the Indian Premier League at the Feroz Shah Kotla in Delhi on Friday. With CSK comfortably qualifying for the playoffs, the Mahendra Singh Dhoni-led squad is eyeing the top spot on the points table alongside Sunrisers Hyderabad, whom they defeated comprehensively in their previous game.

The consistency CSK have shown in the tournament after missing out in the previous two seasons is commendable and it seems they were never out of action.
