Amid intensified efforts to investigate the gruesome game zone fire incident in Rajkot, the first purported CCTV footage from the accident site has been released.

According to the visuals captured in the CCTV footage, the fire which initially broke out in the extension area due to welding work, engulfed the whole building in flames, due to the abundance of flammable materials at the site, which help the fire to quickly spread throughout the gaming zone and thus claiming 27 lives.

Meanwhile, it is pertinent to note that in a latest update in the case, the police on Sunday arrested the manager of the TRP game zone, Nitin Jain, and one of the facility's partners, Yuvraj Singh Solanki.

Speaking to the media, Raju Bhargava, Police Commissioner of Rajkot, said, "Till last night, we had recovered 27 dead bodies, which were shifted to Civil Hospital. After taking DNA samples, they were sent for analysis to FSL, and the process of matching them is still ongoing. An FIR was registered against six people under IPC sections 304, 308, 336, 338, and 114. Manager Nitin Jain and Yuvraj Solanki have been arrested. Special teams are working to arrest the other accused."

Gujarat CM takes stock of situation

Further, earlier in a day, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel along with Home Minister Harsh Sanghavi inspected the Rajkot TRP gaming zone where a massive fire claimed the innocent lives, including that of children.

Visuals from the spot showed CM and the Home Minister taking stock of the area along with their team. Security personnel have also been deployed at the Civil Hospital in Rajkot where those who were injured in yesterday's fire incident have been admitted.

Gujarat Home Minister Harsh Sanghvi took stock of the area where the massive fire broke out inside a gaming zone and said that one person is still missing after the tragic incident.
