After Chaalbaaz Sridevi was not getting proper roles however Madhuri Dixit got roles one after the other which took her to super stardom. It is good that Madhuri will reprise role which late Sridevi was supposed to play. There could not have been any better option. It will be interesting to see how Madhuri Dixit will play that role”, the writer said.
Meanwhile, filmmaker Lawrence D' Souza also commented on Madhuri Dixit replacing Sridevi in the film. "It is true that with Madhuri Dixit coming and making a mark, there was shift in audience liking at that time though both were brilliant actress. There was competition in terms of things like both of them wanted choreographer Saroj Khan for themselves".
He further added, " It is only Madhuri Dixit who could have done justice to role which was for Sridevi. Hence it is perfect choice. Everyone will look forward to the film.".
Lawrence D' Souza has worked with both Sridevi and Madhuri Dixit.
