Mumbai:  Senior Congress leader and former Union Minister Kapil Sibal today said that he truly belongs to the romantic genre.

Sibal has written a couple of  songs for the forthcoming film “Shorgul”. The two songs that he wrote for this film are “Tere bina” and “Mast hawa”.

The track “Mast hawa”, which features actress Hrishita Bhatt and actor Jimmy Sheirgill in the video, has been crooned by Pratibha Singh Baghel and will be the curtain raiser of the film, read a statement.

“I truly belong to the romantic genre and this song is not really an item number, but to my mind it's more upbeat and youthful than the last lyrics I composed for 'Shorgul'. I always like to experiment with my writing style and I hope audiences can relate to my fun side through this song,” Sibal said.

Originally Sibal had penned a Qawwali titled “Tu hi tu” for "Shorgul", but while working with zitar maestro Niladri Kumar on another project, Sibal decided to pen “Tere bina” as a promotional track for the socio-political movie, followed by “Mast Hawa”.
