Washington/New Delhi: Troubles for Democratic candidate nominee for 2016 US presidential election, Hillary Clinton, does not seem to end as a yet to be released book suggested that alleged donations made by former Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh to her Clinton Foundation was in exchange of former support over Indo-US Nuclear deal.

The book 'Clinton Cash', slated for release on May 5, mentioned two contributions of $1 million and $5 million by Amar Singh in 2008, around the same time US Congress was debating on the nuclear deal.

According to former Rajya Sabha MP Amar Singh's election affidavit, this is his entire net worth. The leader has denied making any donation to Clinton Foundation and said, "That is not my donation, I have not given that money to the The Clinton Foundation," he said, adding that "If any friend has done that on my behalf I am grateful to them, but its not mine."

In the book, author and conservative activist Peter Schweizer has dedicated an entire chapter on India-related matter titled ''Indian Nukes: How to Win a Medal by Changing Hillary's Mind.''

Schweizer suggested that Hillary Clinton had initially opposed the nuclear deal but latter reversed her stand after Indian contributions.

Schweizer explained on MSNBC's show Morning Joe, ''In 1998 the Indian government conducted nuclear tests, Bill Clinton imposed restrictions on the export of US nuclear technology, because this violated the non-proliferation treaty -- Hillary Clinton supported that position.''

''In 2005, the Indian government wanted those restrictions lifted. Hillary Clinton at that time supported a killer amendment to stop that from happening. After 2005, a number of Indian interests, including an Indian politician that admits now that his donation to the Clinton Foundation wasn't even his money, those donations flowed. In 2008, she reverses course, and supports the export of US nuclear technology,'' he added.

Clinton aides have vigorously challenged the conclusion, and said that Schweizer is factually wrong and Hillary Clinton actually supported the deal and voted against a killer amendment that could have hampered the agreement. ''Clinton Cash is attempting to rewrite history... It only takes a quick look at Hillary's actual voting record and statements to see that this conspiracy theory doesn't even come close to passing the smell test,'' Clinton's election campaign spokesman Josh Schwerin told Politico, which first reported the extracts.

In an e-mail to Times of India, Schweizer retaliated that Hillary Clinton did vote in support of three so-called killer amendments. He said that Hillary was among the 25 senators who voted in favour of the amendments, including the Feingold Amendment which, as believed by some other senators, could make the implementation of the deal impossible.
