The victim said in her complaint that the incident took place in August last year. She alleged that five persons gang-raped her while three others recorded the act on a camera. The girl who was intercepted by four youths near Basdhada village who took her to a secluded place, where three persons were already present.
The accused threatened her of serious consequences if she told anyone about the incident.

According to police, the victim did not register a complaint fearing that the accused would upload the video on internet. She, however, approached police after the accused published the recording on Facebook.
SSP HN Singh said, "a case was registered under section 376 (2g) (gangrape) of IPC and 67 of IT Act (publishing obscene material in electronic form) against eight accused: Rashid, Wasik, Abdul Rehman, Shokan, Abul, Monu, Rahul and Salau."
The police have arrested four accused Rashid, Wasik, Abdul Rehman and Shokan in connection with the case.
Efforts are being made to catch the rest.
