New Delhi, Feb 13: Delhi Police alongwith a team of People for Animals activists on Sunday raided a UP Roadways bus near Vivek Vihar and found five sweet boxes beneath a passenger seat.
One opening the boxes, police found five poisonous snakes, of them four cobras.
Two persons belonging to a smugglers' gang have been arrested and nearly 250 millilitres of snake poison also seized.
A PFA activist said, several hundred snakes are killed to extract a mere 250 ml poison, and this gang has been in the trade for several years now.
The bus was going from Delhi to Ghaziabad. Police said, the snake poison was meant to be used to manufacture K2 drug, a highly potent drug said to be ten times more potent than opium.
This drug K2 was meant to be sold at a rave party on Valentine's Day, the PFA activist said.
