Pitbull attack: In yet another such incident, a Pitbull attacked two brothers in Greater Noida's Liyana village on Friday evening (April 8). According to sources, a case has been registered against the dog's owner following the incident.

Reportedly, the dog first attacked the younger brother, identified as Raj Bhati, when he was standing outside his home. When the older brother, Narayan Bhati tried to save him, the Pitbull attacked him as well.

The children's father, Police Inspector Nagendra Bhati alleged that one Phireram and his son, Amit had left their dog loose in the streets. The boys' relatives stated that the dog had caught hold of Raj's arm and did not let go even as the child screamed in pain.

NGO holds awareness campaign

Last month, a campaign to spread awareness about stray dogs and their behaviour was conducted by an animal activist at Vasant Kunj's Sindhi Basti, where two children were killed allegedly after being attacked by canines there.

Founder of Noida-based NGO House of Stray Animals (HSA) Sanjay Mohapatra who organised the campaign, said around 100 people participated in the two-hour programme and spoke about their fears surrounding stray animals.
